An innovative celebration was once again witnessed in the IPL. After taking his first wicket, Mumbai Indians’ spinner Raghu Sharma said— “Jai Shri Ram.”
Yesterday, Mumbai Indians faced the Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium. After dismissing Lucknow’s Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Raghu pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket, which had a message written in blue ink. Below that message was written “Jai Shri Ram.”
Raghu could not contain his excitement after taking his first wicket in the IPL. In the thirteenth over of Lucknow’s innings, he took a return catch off his own bowling to send Raghuvanshi back to the pavilion. Immediately, he pulled out that paper from his pocket and pointed it toward the gallery. Meanwhile, the bowler also expressed his gratitude to the Mumbai Indians for giving him this opportunity.
