MoPNG assures stable LPG supply; 95% bookings now driven by digital platforms

The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) has announced that LPG supplies across India remain stable and adequate, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted access for households nationwide. The Ministry has urged consumers to refrain from panic buying and continue practicing responsible usage to support balanced distribution.

MoPNG highlighted that the country’s LPG distribution network remains strong and resilient, with supply chains being closely monitored to maintain seamless delivery across regions. The assurance comes amid sustained demand, with the Ministry emphasising its readiness to meet consumption requirements efficiently.

A significant development noted in the announcement is the widespread adoption of digital platforms for LPG bookings. Nearly 95 per cent of consumers are now utilising online modes such as IVRS, SMS, WhatsApp and mobile applications. This shift reflects a growing preference for convenient, technology-driven service access.

The Ministry stated that increased use of digital channels has helped minimise crowding at distributorships while improving operational efficiency and customer experience. Consumers have been encouraged to continue leveraging these platforms for faster and smoother service delivery.

Reiterating its advisory, MoPNG stressed the importance of responsible consumption and digital adoption in sustaining efficient LPG supply management across the country.
