Chennai Teen Johann Emmanuel Makes History with Qatar Superstock 600 Title
In a stunning display of skill and nerves, 19-year-old Johann Emmanuel has become the first Indian rider to clinch the Qatar Superstock 600 (QSTK) trophy. Entering the season finale in Doha, the Chennai native faced a high-stakes “must-win” scenario, trailing Hungary’s Martin Belleli by nine points.
Emmanuel rose to the challenge, sweeping both races in the final round to erase the deficit and finish the season with a commanding 21-point lead. His dominant debut season saw him take the checkered flag in six out of ten total races.
Reflecting on his milestone victory, the young champion described the win as “unbelievable,” noting that while his dedication has finally yielded an international title, he views this achievement as merely the starting line for his racing career.
