One of the favorites for the upcoming World Cup, France, has announced its final squad. In the 26-member squad announced by coach Didier Deschamps, the only surprise is the absence of Real Madrid midfielder Camavinga. Camavinga was a member of the team that finished as runners-up in the 2022 Qatar World Cup. He had also taken the field as a substitute player in the final match. Recently, the Real Madrid star’s performance has not been satisfactory at all. He has also been deprived of regular opportunities in his club team.
The French team possesses an enviable depth in the attacking department. Stars like Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, Michael Olise, Rayan Cherki, and Maghnes Akliouche will be dangerous for any opponent. Placed in Group ‘I’, France’s other three opponents are Senegal, Iraq, and Norway. France will begin their campaign against Senegal on June 16. Their opponent in the second match on June 22 is Iraq, and they will play their final group match against Norway on June 26. Senegal and Norway will likely be the primary causes of concern for France.
