Air India to Cut 100 Flights Daily

Air India, a Tata Group airline, is planning to cut nearly 10% of its flight services across international and domestic routes. Starting from the winter schedule beginning in late October, the company will cancel approximately 100 flights daily. Currently, Air India operates nearly 900 flights on a daily basis.
The airline disclosed that this plan was primarily adopted due to the rising cost of aviation fuel and a shortage of spare parts for older aircraft. Recently, Air India has been forced to ground approximately 30 large-scale aircraft indefinitely due to a shortage of spare parts and engines. Although the airline has recently placed orders for several new Boeing and Airbus aircraft, the Tata Group-owned company has not yet received delivery of these planes.
