India has maintained its top position in the ICC T20 format team rankings. Since becoming champions in the T20 World Cup, the Suryakumar-led Team India has not yet taken to the field. In second place is England, who were defeated by India in the World Cup semi-finals.

On the other hand, despite exiting from the group stage of the World Cup, Australia has held onto the third spot in the ranking list. In fifth place is another semi-finalist team, South Africa.
