In a bid to strengthen their lineup, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has roped in RS Ambrish as a replacement for the injured Shivam Mavi, who has been sidelined for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 due to a groin injury. Ambrish, a talented all-rounder, brings a wealth of experience from his impressive stint with the India Under-19 squad, which emerged victorious in the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026. Notably, he was the joint-highest wicket-taker for India in the tournament, claiming 11 wickets. With his right-arm medium pace and left-handed batting skills, Ambrish is set to add depth to SRH’s squad. The 30-lakh deal marks a strategic move by SRH, looking to offset Mavi’s absence and bolster their chances in the ongoing season.
