Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League after two dramatic quarter-final second-leg ties on Tuesday.
PSG advanced despite losing 4-3 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, progressing 5-4 on aggregate. Bayern won the first leg 1-0, but PSG’s away goals and early strike in the return leg proved decisive in a match that saw seven goals. Kingsley Coman scored twice for Bayern, with Leroy Sane and Thomas Müller also on target. For PSG, Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha found the net.
Atletico Madrid booked their spot with a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at the Metropolitano, overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit to win 2-1 on aggregate. Goals from Antoine Griezmann and Marcos Llorente sealed the tie. Dortmund hit the post twice but could not find the away goal they needed.
With the results, PSG will face Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals. The other semi-final will be decided on Wednesday.
