PMAY-G Sanction Letters are distributed to 3.25 lakh families by the Assam Chief Minister

A significant advancement in the state’s rural housing objective was made when Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma gave home ownership permission letters to recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G). The event took place at Boko. Attendees included Palashbari MLA Hemanga Thakuria, Boko MLA Nandita Das, Assam Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, and a number of dignitaries. PMAY-G residences have now been approved for over 3.25 lakh families with the backing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A substantial investment of Rs. 4,228 crore would be made to provide rural households with secure and respectable dwellings, with each family receiving approximately ₹1.3 lakh.

Every sanctioned dwelling will also be supplied with toilet building help, so insuring holistic development. The CM stated that all initial applicants under PMAY-G are included in the aforementioned allocation. He also reaffirmed their commitment to inclusive housing by stating that the subsequent geotagging process will identify an additional 30 lakh families who are eligible for help. Assam’s progress toward equity, dignity, and sustainable development is exemplified by the PMAY-G sanction distribution at Boko, which has brought 3,25,234 families closer to buying a secure home.
