A blind cricket competition between Assam and Tripura was recently held at the Narsingarh Panchayat playground in Agartala. In this three-match T-20 series, blind players from both states displayed competitive and inspiring gameplay. Although Tripura won all three matches, the players from Assam caught everyone’s attention with their fighting spirit and individual achievements. In the first match, Assam’s Harjit Sharma played an innings of 57 runs off 39 balls.
On the other hand, Assam’s Bikash Pengu was honored as the best B-1 category player for his all-round performance in the tournament. The Assam team was led by Homen Borgohain. Pranjal Kataki and Rajdeep Dakua were in charge of managing the team. Meanwhile, the Assam Blind Cricket Team has expressed sincere gratitude to Care EU 365, the sponsoring organization of CAB (Cricket Association for the Blind) Assam, which has been working continuously for the promotion of blind cricket in Assam.
