Jannik Sinner has broken a 15-year-old long-standing record in the tennis world at the Italian Open. In the quarter-finals of the tournament, the world-renowned Italian tennis star faced another star, Holger Rune. Record-Breaking Performance Displaying a remarkable performance, Sinner defeated Rune with a score of 6-2, 6-4. With this victory, he not only entered the semi-finals but also set a new record. By reaching this stage, he became the youngest player to reach the semi-finals of two consecutive ATP Masters tournaments since a record set 15 years ago.
After winning two consecutive matches, he has now secured a victory in a total of 32 sets. Previously, this record of consecutive set wins was held by Novak Djokovic since 2011. Sinner has now etched his name into history by surpassing that milestone.
