Badminton Association Of Sikkim Declares Upcoming Inter-School Championship

The first round of the State Inter-School Badminton Championship, which will take place in all six districts of the state, is set for July 12–13, according to the Badminton Association of Sikkim (BAS). The final round, which will be held in Paljor Stadium’s Indoor Badminton Hall on August 3–4, will be attended by the qualifying players.

There will be under-17 and under-19 divisions for both boys and girls in the inter school competition. The goal of this recent addition to the BAS competition schedule is to find and develop budding badminton players.

BAS president Jacob Khaling highlighted the importance of the occasion while speaking at a press conference in the capital. “The inter school competition will give talented students a stage to display their abilities and possibly represent Sikkim and India in national and international competitions,” he added.
