Winter Fog Set to Grip the Terai Plains

There is a partial influence of westerly winds prevailing across the country, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

At present, several areas of the Terai region are experiencing mist and fog, while partial cloud cover has been observed in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
As the day progresses, most parts of the Terai plains are expected to remain under mist and fog conditions. Partial cloud cover is likely in the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Meanwhile, the remaining hilly and mountainous areas are expected to witness generally clear weather.
During the night, mist and fog will continue to prevail across much of the Terai plains. Partial cloud cover is forecast for the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the hilly and mountainous areas are likely to experience mostly clear conditions.
