Swiggy Limited has officially announced the launch of the Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) 2026, appointing popular digital creator Bhuvan Bam as its brand ambassador. In a unique cultural collaboration, the festival integrates the iconic characters from the “BB Ki Vines” universe—including Babloo, Babli, and Sameer—to mirror relatable Indian dining habits. Running for two months starting February 15, 2026, the event spans over 60 cities and offers food enthusiasts up to 50% off at more than 40,000 partner restaurants, ranging from luxury dining and family eateries to trendy cafes and pubs.
According to Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP of Marketing and Revenue at Swiggy Dineout, the primary goal of this annual flagship event is to make dining out more rewarding, accessible, and frequent for consumers while simultaneously boosting revenue and footfall for restaurant partners. By leveraging Bhuvan Bam’s deep connection with the Indian audience, Swiggy aims to transform dining into a more celebratory and spontaneous experience under the theme “Bill Half. Party Full.” Beyond the flat discounts, the festival also features “Crazzzy Deals of the Day,” complimentary drinks at select bars, and extended happy hours to enhance the festive spirit.
