Finally, the rhythm of the World Cup returned to Sanju Samson’s bat. After failing to even reach double digits in the first three matches, Samson completed a century with an outstanding batting display.
In an unbeaten innings of 115 runs off 56 balls against Delhi Capitals, there were 4 sixes and 15 boundaries (fours). Playing with great caution from the start, he completed his half-century in 26 balls. He then completed his century in the next 25 balls.
This is Samson’s first century in a CSK (Chennai Super Kings) jersey and the fourth of his IPL career. In today’s innings, Samson showed immense patience. Instead of sixes, he focused more on boundaries. He only opened up his arms (started hitting freely) after reaching his half-century. With the help of Samson’s century, CSK scored 212 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
