A joint verification team led by Longleng Deputy Commissioner W. Manpai Phom—alongside the Superintendent of Police, Chief Medical Officer, District Hospital Medical Superintendent, Health & Family Welfare engineers, and the project contractor—conducted an inspection on September 16 to evaluate the ongoing construction of the District Hospital at Longleng Headquarters. The inspection focused on ensuring the facility meets functional requirements, recommending specific improvements to key areas such as the ICU Sister’s Room and washroom drainage systems to prevent water stagnation. Addressing regional landslide disruptions and highway connectivity challenges, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the contractor to pre-procure and stockpile essential building materials on-site, proposing the Tangha–Kangching–Merangkong Road as an alternate transit route if main routes become impassable. As the project nears completion, the administration emphasized the necessity of stationing departmental engineers at the site to oversee final-stage technical compliance and ensure the building is completed according to approved specifications.
