Assam authorities detained 12 suspected illegal infiltrators from different parts of the state during a coordinated overnight operation and initiated necessary legal proceedings against them.
The operation is part of the state’s ongoing drive against illegal infiltration. Officials said the campaign would continue with heightened vigilance and active enforcement measures across Assam.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reiterated its commitment to strengthening border security and curbing illegal entry into the state. Authorities also conveyed a strong message that those attempting to enter Assam through illegal routes would face strict action under the law.
Officials maintained that the crackdown would continue in the coming days as part of broader efforts to safeguard the state’s security and maintain law and order.
