AAPSU Demands Centre Hold Talks with NEET Students, Threatens Statewide Stir

The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union supported students protesting at Jantar Mantar regarding alleged NEET examination irregularities and condemned police actions during the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, warning of a potential statewide agitation if the Centre does not engage in dialogue with the protesters. The apex students’ body condemned the lathi charge on protesters during the July 20 march, which left several injured, calling it unacceptable.

They urged the Central government to address the concerns of students through dialogue rather than force. The AAPSU expressed solidarity with activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is currently on a hunger strike and receiving hospital care. The union emphasized that his protest, along with the ongoing agitation, underscores the issues faced by many students and families who feel their futures are jeopardized by a flawed examination process.
