Food Wing head Hemant Malik says health segment key to growth; company to use power brands for nutrition push

ITC Ltd. is doubling down on the health and wellness food market, with plans to scale up offerings through its established labels. Hemant Malik, Executive Director and Head of ITC’s Food Wing, said the company has launched special initiatives to tap into rising demand.
To bolster its food portfolio, ITC will roll out health-centric snacks and energy-dense products under the Aashirvaad umbrella. The Sunfeast range will add protein bars, snacks, and ready-to-drink shakes, Malik noted. The firm is also set to bring protein bars, biscuits, and RTD beverages to shelves.
“Health is one of the fastest-growing sectors globally. We’ve kept a cautious and vigilant focus on consumer health needs,” Malik said.
ITC’s Aashirvaad, Sunfeast, Bingo, and Yippee brands are already market leaders. The new move targets health-conscious buyers as ITC looks to cement its place in the expanding global nutrition space.
