Prannoy lost to his Chinese opponent Weng Hong Yang with a score of 21-12, 21-19.
Additionally, another rising Indian star, Unnati Hooda, was defeated in the second round of women’s singles by Japan’s Tomoka Miyazaki with a score of 21-17, 21-9.
