Telecom provider Vi announced a new guarantee scheme giving 2G users 24 extra validity days annually across unlimited voice recharges of Rs 199 or more.
The programme adds 2 days to each eligible recharge over 12 months, converting 28-day validity periods to 30 days. This change aims to resolve frequent double-monthly recharging faced by voice-centric prepaid users.
Targeting customers with basic handsets and low data usage, the offer requires enrollment via *999# USSD or calling 1212.
Vi maintains its existing guarantee for smartphone users, providing 130GB bonus data yearly on plans starting Rs 299 for 4G and 5G customers.
