Turkish Airlines has reported a successful start to 2026, carrying 7.6 million passengers in January alone. This growth was supported by a 10% increase in passenger capacity—measured in available seat kilometers—compared to the same period in 2025. The airline achieved a robust total load factor of 84%, with domestic flights reaching a high of 87.5% and international flights recording 83.7%.
The airline’s international performance was particularly strong, as the number of international-to-international transfer passengers grew by 10.8%, rising to 3.1 million. Beyond passenger travel, Turkish Airlines also saw a significant surge in its logistics sector. Cargo and mail volumes increased by 18.8% year-over-year, reaching a total of 178.3 thousand tons for the month.
