New Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses Arrive in India Features 3K Ultra HD Capture, Full Hindi AI Support, and ₹39,900 Starting Price

Meta has introduced the second generation of its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses to the Indian market, positioning the device as an upgraded, mainstream wearable experience starting at Rs 39,900. Available now across Ray-Ban India stores and major retailers, the new model significantly enhances its capture capabilities, offering users 3K Ultra HD video recording with ultrawide HDR support for sharper and more vibrant hands-free content. Built for extended use, the glasses provide up to eight hours of battery life, which is substantially extended by the bundled charging case, offering up to 48 hours of backup power. The core hardware improvements, including better microphones for clearer audio capture in noisy environments, aim to make the Gen 2 smart glasses a practical gadget for everyday life.
A key highlight of the launch is the deep integration of Meta AI, which allows wearers to request information, manage media, and capture content simply by saying, “Hey Meta.” Crucially for the Indian market, this AI assistant now features full Hindi language support, enabling users to communicate comfortably in the local language. Further localizing the technology, Meta is also experimenting with a game-changing feature: UPI-Lite payments through the glasses in collaboration with WhatsApp, allowing users to initiate secure, hands-free transactions by simply glancing at a QR code. The new smart glasses maintain a strong fashion focus, being available in classic Ray-Ban styles like the Wayfarer and contemporary options like Skyler and Headliner, along with fresh seasonal shades.
