ISRO Creates the Biggest Vertical Propellant Mixer in the World

In its pursuit of independence in the space industry, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has achieved progress. The biggest vertical planetary mixer for solid propellants in the world, weighing 10 tonnes, was successfully developed, according to an announcement made by ISRO on February 13, 2025.

This cutting-edge machinery was created and produced in association with Bengaluru’s Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI). Solid rocket motor manufacturing is expected to increase as a result of this discovery.
