Policeman kills self in Guwahati

A police personnel allegedly shot himself with his service pistol on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Parikshit Baishya, who was residing in the CID residential area at Basistha.
According to the report, the incident is suspected to be linked to family-related issues. An unnatural death case has been registered at the Basistha Police Station and further investigation is on.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently being examined by the police as part of the investigation.
His wife and child were in New Delhi at the time of the incident.
Following the recovery of the body, police initiated the necessary legal procedures and the post-mortem examination was conducted.
