Arunachal Institutions Empower Youth Through Virtual Interaction with PM Modi

Ahead of National Sports Day on August 29, educational institutions and youth networks across Arunachal Pradesh actively participated in the nationwide ‘Khelo India Samvaad’ initiative, featuring a virtual address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at fostering physical fitness, sports excellence, and youth development. At Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), the NSS Cell hosted an interactive session featuring international karateka Raja Yangfo and national Wushu champion Gyamar Yatup, alongside senior university officials and students who pledged their commitment to holistic fitness and athletic discipline. Simultaneously, the NSS Unit of Wangcha Rajkumar Government College (WRGC) in Deomali observed the theme ‘Khel Ki Baat PM Ke Saath’ in collaboration with My Bharat Tirap, bringing together around 100 participants for a dialogue with Taekwondo athlete Yorter Gangkak, guidance from District Youth Officer Sukhveer Bishnoi, and the administration of the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ pledge. Additionally, a nationally synchronized youth engagement drive took place in Roing, Lower Dibang Valley district, engaging students from JTGMD College and Govt Polytechnic College alongside local sports icons such as national badminton players Kesaya Elapra and Prisha Kachari, Youth Parliament winner Abida Begum, and football coach Agano Linggi. Across all districts, the events successfully leveraged the legacy of hockey icon Major Dhyan Chand to inspire the state’s youth toward active living, athletic career opportunities, and contributing to a drug-free, developed nation.
