JNU’s 29-year-old research scholar and National President of the All India Students’ Association (AISA), Neha Bora, has sparked a new wave across the country for students’ rights and transparency in examinations.
Recently, in July 2026, Neha Bora, along with education reformer Sonam Wangchuk, led a 23-day hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar against irregularities in examinations, drawing nationwide attention.
Originally from Uttarakhand, Neha had earlier studied at Delhi University and Ambedkar University.
During a student protest in Ranchi, she was attacked with ink. But even after such an attack, Neha did not back down and said, “I am proud of this ink. With this ink itself, we will write our future.”
Her courageous speeches against injustice and police brutality have inspired the student community across the entire country.
