Vivo Expands Budget T-Series with Launch of Durable T5e Smartphone in India

Vivo has officially expanded its budget T-series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo T5e, an entry-level smartphone engineered for everyday durability and long battery life. Priced at ₹13,999 for its single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration, the handset features a refined matte frame backed by IP64 dust and splash resistance alongside military-grade shock certification (MIL-STD-810H) to withstand daily drops and rugged use. Up front, the device sports a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display offering a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, while internal performance is handled by an octa-core Unisoc T7225 chipset paired with virtual RAM expansion up to an additional 4GB and expandable storage up to 2TB via a microSD slot. Powering the device is a large 5,500mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging, which Vivo claims can deliver up to 47 hours of music playback or 18 hours of video streaming on a single charge while maintaining long-term battery health for up to four years. For optics, the T5e includes an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter, operating on Funtouch OS 16 based on Android 16.
