By raising $60 million in funding, Skyroot has emerged as the country’s first “Unicorn” (a startup valued at over $1 billion) in the spacetech sector. Following this fund collection, the market valuation of the company has reached $1.1 billion.
The institutions from which the company received funding include Sherpalo Ventures, Singapore’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, GIC, Rocketship, Greenko Group, Arkam Ventures, Playbook Partners, Sanghvi Family Office, and others. With this latest round, the total amount of funding raised by the company to date stands at $160 million.
Skyroot is currently preparing for the launch of Vikram-1, the first orbital rocket built privately in India. At such a time, the funding they have received carries significant importance.
